The Thirteen Colonies were settled largely by non-conformists (Quakers, Unitarians, Presbyterians, Calvinists, Mennonites, Anabaptists, et cetera). Settlers went there explicitly to avoid the CoE and it's control. The Massachusetts Bay colony was specifically set up to be settled by non-conformists.

It's a place. After Finland broke the pact with Nazi-Germany, the bitter germans who were in Finland trying to help it out against russia, burned it down. Also I think the finnish turned some of those germans in to the russians and they were captured, and the rest were driven out of finland.
