During the night of 08/08/08 the Georgian peacekeepers all left, brought in MLRS rocket trucks to the boarder and shelled the city and barracks of the UN Russian peacekeepers still station there while they slept, killing almost a dozen service men, and injuring twice as many more. These were people who worked together, were stationed together.
