I'm sort of dating a 31 year old korean girl, she's already told me that she plans to kill herself if i don't marry and have children with her. She showed me the spot above her house where she used to sit and think about jumping off and landing on her head.

There's a weird sexual divide between men and women in those countries, and i think the reason for such high suicide is the general lack of dickings that take place. Everything goes into career and work, it's like they've forgotten the reason to do those things is to get the best pussy you can, so they literally have no reason to live.

That's one compounding factor I think. Much of it is related to gender divisions and their cultures not really fitting in with their country's present situations or with the world.

Also I've noticed Asians in general are the most emotionally fragile of peoples. I have a Chinese friend, I have to accommodate his mind state and emotions, I can't really treat him as I would treat myself and those like me. It's quite annoying really, most of the time it's narcissism and aimless whining. For these people, there is no genuine personal reflection and thus robustness in understanding, no honesty with self. It seems there are cultural underpinnings that are extremely fragile and out of place. Making the individual receptive to such actions and thoughts as suicide.

This is a complex issue though, something that needs a serious look at social progression and reformation.

We just don't know how to take it easy. We are culturally expected to live for others while western people are culturally expected to live for themselves. So we tend to end up working harder since it's not only for the sake of yourself but also others who do the same and work hard. Caring about others that much isn't not only physically tiresome but also mentally tiresome, so many of us just choose to kill ourselves. We just can't take it easy. It's cultural.
