A certain part of california in the monterey area is known for having a crazy amount of fog, especially in the summer.

It's part of the reason they built that army base there.

Yes, especially in San Francisco

It's fun in early autumn when the low-lying areas are thick with 20m visibility, while the tops of the hills are clear. Once again into the soup, crawl at 25 kph, then back out and speed up, again and again.
