It's just that there wasn't much else of note going on in Ireland from an interesting historical perspective (for me). The thing about Trump is that the election was ironically a race thing. Plus the white women only voted "right" in a slim majority, and still 11% less for Trump than white men did.
There are also other stats that matter, like voter turnout (how many left-wing women didn't show up?), but I'm not a statistics nerd so I can't say anything more about that.

US presidential elections aren't the best way of dividing "left-wing" from "right-wing" anyway, since you only really get two choices, it's not clear-cut on which issues people vote for, and normies are probably more concerned about the vague and general statements about "improving the economy" than deeper social questions.
