Would you prefer to have been born rich in Angola, Nigeria or some such place?
As a Brazilian I must say that I would prefer to be poor in Switzerland or Japan than to be rich in a country with the problems of Brazil
(crime, violence, bad distribution of wealth, bad education, etc).
I'm not rich though, lol.

Being genuinely rich in Brazil is good actually. I mean, being rich is good anywhere on earth. But in Brazil, there still is the perk that you're way above the rest of the population, so impressing people is relatively easy, people will want to talk and interact with you just because you're wealthy.

There's a difference between being poor in America and being poor in Switzerland or Japan

No doubt, man, but your country has a lot of potential. 'The land of opportunity", yada yada yada.
At least you aren't a poor in France.
My wife was very poor. She and her brother were raised by a single mother. They both make six figures now. (much more than silver spooned me).

Not really. It's hard to break out of poverty if you're born that way. You're probably gonna be raised without a good education or with parents who have the proper skills for success. This shit lasts for centuries for most families.
