It fucking sucks. Clancy's writing peaked around Clear and Present Danger and then just slowly rolled downhill from there after he let the GOP dicksucking get in the way of just writing a decent story. Also he thinks Saudi Arabia and post-communist Russia are good decent friends of the US with a special relationship surpassing Britain.

Wasn't he a Japanese American? Who spent most of Debt of Honor walking around Japan while thinking about how he's so much better than the backwards Japs because he was raised in America with American values and also better food which makes him taller than them to boot. The government can't fucking reinterpet the constitution. That is the job of the Japanese High Court.
Then again, Japan's High Court ruled the 2012 and 2014 elections as unconstitutional.... And no one listened.
They have no enforcement power.
