It's only a thing in the north, mainly in MeƤnmaa. I'm from there though so I grew up with it. It used to be kind of an old people thing, but it's gotten a resurgence in recent years, much like drinking from a saucer (I suspect it's popular among hipsters for the same reason that waistcoats and pocket watches are, old-timey=cool apparently)
if you even drink an expresso, then you know what is coffee.
all the other stuff are soft drinks !!

Plain black Starbucks coffee tastes horrible desu, no matter when I have to drink it cause there's no other option available it leaves a horrible piss aftertaste in my mouth.
Honestly, the best coffee I ever drank was from this italian restaurant that was in a backalley and had a mini fake torture chamber in the basement (that I joked about, pretending the establishment owners were gansters) and from some middle of nowhere town in almost rural virginia but only because it had rained beforegand and I didn't have an umbrella so I was soaking and cold.
