There was a guy in my highschool who got his full ride at his college of choice taken away because he was accused of rape.
He was 18 and his gf was 16 (no big deal right?). Turns out her parents didn't think so. So they went to the police and accused him of satutory raping their daughter, and even though the police knew it was bullshit they had to arrest him because he did have sex with who was technically a minor. He won his court case a few months later but missed out on his school of choice and had to wait a year until the next fall to start at a different school.
