There were rats on the streets, and I bought like 10 cheap Super Famicom videogames for my kid which could be used on the Super Nintendo with an adapter, only 8 worked, but it ended up being a good deal.

This was a small detour on a vacation to the Iguazu Falls.
I have never returned to Paraguay, but I understand it is a much better place now than 20 years ago.

I only have second cousins, great aunts and uncles in Mexico. Everyone else is here. There are parts of Mexico that are quite nice. Out of the places I've visited, Guadalajara, Guanajuato, Ensenada, Puerto Vallarta, and Los Altos de Jalisco have some very nice areas. But there's also absolute shit. Tijuana, Mexicali, Juarez, and the bad parts of Guadalajara are 3rd world hell holes.
