Learning a foreign language isnt gonna make you any smarter by itself but can develop some useful learning skills to use later on and maybe widen your outlook. If you care to put that to use of course.

Also the English the non-natives use may lack a lot of finer details and nuance that actually make you appreciate an opinion more.
