I am Half-Portuguese. I'm regularly in Portugal.
I regularly ski in Poland and Czechie (Schneekoppe).
Don't tell me about the differences in living standard.

Poland is fucked in the Living standard department. Thats why they get the most EU funds any country ever got. Also Czech started very low.
Both countries have lower wages as Portugal. both countries have a bigger private sector and more innovative power than Portugal.

Portuguese culture is all about criying about the past golden aera and blaming others for not doing well, while playing dominos, drinking a whine and enjoying sardinas right from the grill. Czech and Poles on the otherhand do get things done. Some are smart and innovative, some are dumb but they don't fear to get their hands dirty, some are versitile and improvise solutions for everything(All ex-commie countries have lot's of this type of people).

Portuguese lack determination. And all the Portuguese that have a drive toward the better leave to Luxemburg or other countries. No one wants to carry the stagnant masses.
Half of Luxemburg population is of Portuguese origin. Luxemburg is rich. It's managed well. Luxemburg culture is prosperity inspireing, while contemporaryPortuguese culture of stagnation and fixation on the past is a poison to Portugals society.
