Vietnamese war was fucking cruel. Their friends died from hellish traps, and I'm not speaking about thai traps. Pits with snakes and spikes, primitive devices constructed to bloodily fuck up trespassers. And a lot of this shit was placed in claustrophobical tunnels with viets, also there was a lot of civilian killing. I could talk long about all this. But shortly, this was one hell of a brutal war, and a lot of psychological factors made vets have PTSD. Google a couple of books and films about this war, this theme is interesting.
