In Chicago a lot of high schools do. Public, Charter, and Private. I think in our case it had a lot to do with gang shit. Absolutely no colors were allowed on you including your shoes other than your white polo, navy pants, and black shoes.

I did. Dress shoes, khakis, and a white or light blue button up shirt. We also had ties, sweaters, and blazers, but few people wore those. Girls wore these plaid skirt things and a white button up.
