it was about 7 years ago. my mum who paid, so i dont know how much it was
i completed the basic course. i liked it.
but "real"french is a way more harder. i still cant understand what a native french speaker says because they speak too fast and with many slangs, idioms etc

>Has anyone taken alliance francaise classes?
I did

Rather standard, we follow the book going through the basics first, like how to introduce yourself, numbers, days of the week, colours etc. Each book last for two semesters and it gets harder as you progress
>Does it work?
It does but is quite slow. It will take you three years to be half decent in it by following their method. And by that I mean being able to understand the news on tv and read most of their written media. Its pretty expensive and time consuming, if you have both go for it.
