What's the liquid phase?

Brine? Vinegar? Gelatin?

The only way I can eat oysters or sardines out of a tin is if it's in hot sauce. Hot sauce cures all ills.

I love fish. Fresh fish.

>>66588281
>he doesn't love fish

Living inland is hell and getting any kind of fish is like Christmas.

I really like crab, though it is very expensive. I think $18.99 per pound of crab legs

>>66589801
I've never eaten a lobsterroll from McDonalds but from what I understand it is real lobster claw meat, there's just very little of it and all you taste is lettuce, bread, and mayo

It's illegal to eat lobster roe (eggs), or even to knowingly harvest a female lobster, and if you catch it you have to notch the tail so someone else doesn't accidentally harvest it.
We do make a sauce or spreas out of tomalley, the lobster innards.

We eat both canned tuna and this.

It's not fermented or anything. It's conserved in olive oil. Sometimes it has tomato (rarely), other times it has some spice.

It's not like it's a delicacy or anything, but we do like to eat fish in about about 2/5ths of our meals, and these are ready-made and pretty good. Just boil some potatoes, an egg, and pour some olive oil and you're good to go. Weekends is when we actually take time to grill or prepare proper fish.

I know canned tuna is welfare-tier food in America, and it certainly isn't expensive here, but I'd say it's just our equivalent to fish-sticks (although we have those too). Tuna is usually better for kids who aren't to fond of fish yet.

Your disgust by it is just a cultural thing. You'd never catch me eating lunchables, for example. I'd eat the thing it tries to emulate with non-plastic ingredients, but not a lunchable. It honestly seems depressing to me. I imagine canned fish will trigger the same feeling in you.

I think he meant Crab. Look up "Sapateira Recheada".
