what's so backward about it? do you really want students to study all day everyday to get that top 10/10 score? that's exactly what's going on here. with anglo system you don't have to study that hard
>>66569107
imo it sets the bar too low. When I was young i thought that A=10 B=9 C=8 etc. I thought that americans must have very hard studying kids if they had "straight A students"
4-10 god-tier

Why can't the Dutch understand a simple grading system?
That's not the US's grading system though, A is 90 and above, B is 80-89, C is 70-79, D is 60-69, F is 0-59
>>66570926
Further, your gpa is based on if it's a high or low A, B, etc. So a 4.0 is a mid to high A, but an A- is only 3.7.

shit tier tbqh
>>66568769
That's wrong A- is cutoff at 90 (I assume your 9).
>tfw 6 to1 up to tenth grade but afterwards 0 to 15 which finally gets converted back to 6 to 1

Mine isn't

why does the US use letters in stead of numbers?
are american'ts incapable of reading numbers?
>B
>C
>D
>F
>F
>F
>>66571392
..the grade is based on a percentage.
A+ is 100%
A is 93% or above
A- is 90% or above
B+ is 87% or above
B is 83% or above
etc...
Different countries have different grading systems. Deal with it.
>>66571392
Why are the Dutch incapable of determining a letter based on numbers? Are they too stupid to do conversions?
>>66568769
>A*
>>66571529
F is for failure as in, as a country Brazil deserves an F.
>>66568769
We use percentages here. Or so I think? We did when I was still ijn school anyway, but they reformed the system now so maybe they use dumb letters as to not make the kids butthurts and reduce competition.
percentage is the best system.

>>66570926
why would you transcribe a scale that is based on numbers to letters?
it makes no sense
Here it's 0 to 20
>>66568769
Numbers are racist and non-inclusive
>>66568769
how fucking easy...
the lowest you can get is a 5, and the highest an 8,5.
>>66571799
you can no longer get 1 or 6?

Suprised they even give grades at Columbia. Thought they would just give out participant medals
>>66568769
My friend's A level results literally spelt "DUDE" because U meant ungraded (he didn't go to the exam).
>>66568769
At my college a 75 would be a C and we don't have A+ grades.
>>66568769
We have G and U after F as well.
UK now uses number system, all gcse and a levels are in number system
