How popular is turkey meat in your country?

It was domesticated here
Very
The wild ones are making a huge comeback. We see them all the time in Ohio now.
Not very popular, but it's growing in availability.
You can get it as a smoked breast, or as fillets in some supermarkets and it's sometimes used in microwave dinners mixed with chicken, but I think they stopped doing that because it's not actually any cheaper than chicken.

Turkey is quite literally some of the most popular meats anywhere in the world.

Were they at risk? They're everywhere here.

Yes, they were almost extinct. Even as a child I don't remember seeing them much (I'm older). Now they're common and they're getting braver.

lot of cheap turkey ham here
Turkey is very popular on special occasions, especially if extended family are getting together for dinner.
I prefer chicken, turkey meat is a bit bland, although I would like to go hunting wild turkey.

It tastes different, at least. Not even worse or better, just different, and to someone who doesn't eat pork or beef that's a godsend.
