There have been numerous undisputable masterpieces in /eire/'s time, such as the strikingly realistic classic Howth or its medieval counterpart The fake faggot germaboo Trinity. Laois/JealousAnon will not join their ranks; its surface is too generic, its presentation too provocative and its messages too obscure. Its take on the abysmal is an illumination in one person’s despair, but a paroxysm of another’s perversion. It will remain underground – treasured by the most avant-garde among intellectuals for its edifying if horrifying insight into the fundamentals of human morality. Philistines and self-proclaimed critics alike will shun Laois/JealousAnon, but you can’t fault them for that. It takes wisdom to appreciate its subtleties, and courage to side with the unpopular opinion. Sed domi maneas paresque nobis novem continuas fututiones.

Laois/JealousAnon is a cult classic, a chef d'oeuvrea buried under false preconceptions and unfounded criticism. This gem is hidden because it does not shine; it is buried because its tone is that of abyssal black. Laois/JealousAnon pries into to the darkest corners of our subconscious, the most visceral of our cognition, the most carnal of our urges, and the most primal of our instincts. Its sublimity will ever be debated yet always remain objectively irrefutable; the fundamental insight it provides into human and perhaps animalistic nature may shape the basis of /eire/ personalities for centuries to come.

Yes indeed, The time of anonymous's sovereignty over /eire/ has passed; Laois/JealousAnon is the herald of a new era that is to come.

Please tell me more about the Irish struggle for independence. Was it spearheaded by the Irish elite with passive support from the Irish working class in the 19-20th century as was the case in India. Or was it a mass uprising against the British with the IRA being a popular militant rebellion?

What are Irish and English relations right now, (between the governments, the people and cultureally)?

Do you see any tourism from the Brits?

there was no Irish elite, there were Anglo-Irish landlords though, who were very moderate in their politics or were the lapdogs of the greater parties in Westminster if they became MPs, meaning the Irish people hadn't much real representation in parliament after the Act of Union in 1800 and dissolving of the parliament in Dublin, up until the establishment of the Home Rule party of Isaac Butt who came from church stock and the clergy, who were very influential with the people but were again very moderate with their politics for the most part.

People like Charles Stewart Parnell (an Anglo-Irish landlord) sought Home Rule for Ireland and other forms of legislative independence from England without fully seeking to break the bonds of the two countries as extreme Nationalists like the Fenians sought to. Parnell balanced between Parliamentarianism and working from Westminster while also appealing to the radical side who desired complete independence from England by armed force if necessary, which they thought it was. He did this to 1. Get funds from the diaspora, mainly Irish-Americans who always leaned towards Fenianism and extremism and rallied around the Clan na Gael. 2. Not appear to be too moderate or complacent as the Home Rule party had been before under Isaac Butt, who he deposed. He might have appeared to teeter between the two extremes but Parnell was always staunchly committed to achieving legislative independence, Home Rule and the destruction of the landlord class through peasant proprietorship ( ie. the buying of the land from the landlords and the transferal of ownership to those who worked it) all from within parliament.

not sure if I explained that perfectly so ask as many questions as ye'd like

>Or was it a mass uprising against the British with the IRA being a popular militant rebellion?
this is complicated
there were many communities pocketed around Ireland with a long die-hard tradition of rebellion against English rule and wresting liberty from England's hands through force of arms, like Enniscorthy which had deep ties to the 1798 rising and where Parnell faced a riot from the Fenians there who opposed his working from within Westminster as a divergence from true Nationalism which meant armed rebellion to them as it had to the United Irishmen and Young Irelanders
The majority of people in Ireland certainly would've liked to have seen Ireland an independent sovereign Nation but they most likely opposed the use of force to achieve this as they'd seen how it had failed time and time again before and the damage it had done to the country and people. After the 1916 Rising the people of Dublin threw things at the rebels being taken to prison as they saw them to be the cause of the unnecessary damage done to their city, it was only after the Rising when the executions began that sympathy for the rebels and outrage at English cruelty sparked more trouble. The War of Independence certainly had popular support, otherwise it would've floundered as Guerilla warfare would've been impossible. Sinn Féin also had the mandate of the people from the 1918 general election then so we know how they felt.
>>
>>66507514
Were there any countries that materially/militarily supported the Irish struggle?

What were Irish relations with Scotland and Wales in the 19th and early 20th century?

>How much support did Sinn Fein enjoy as opposed to the Irish Party before them?
pretty much total support, the Home Rule party was dead and gone
people blamed Redmond for sending thousands of Irishmen to the trenches (National Volunteers) to die needlessly for British interests, while Sinn Féin opposed the detested conscription and ban on emigration from the country
Sinn Féin was also now led by de Valera who was seen as a hero as he'd fought in the 1916 Rising, so that helped

>Which faction would you consider as having played the most significant role in Irish independence?
The parliamentarians certainly did their fair share and they are often sadly looked over in Irish history in favor of the more attractive or romantic rebellious side, for Fenianism and the like, but what they achieved was most of the time too little too late, not ever really going far enough as they were impeded by the fact that they were working within a system that retarded their progress constantly, both the Liberals and Conservatives opposed most of what they put forward which is why Parnell and Biggar had to resort to obstruction in parliament which was the practice of blocking the passing of English bills by taking up all the time to discuss them (parliament only sat for about half the year anyway so this was very effective until measures were taken to stop it after a few years)
In the end it was mostly force that won us independence, or the ability to achieve it

>>66507678
France and Spain were the most obvious allies most of the time but they were only really looking after their own interests and their "support" usually ended up fucking us over as it did at the Siege of Kinsale in the Nine Years War
Germany shipped us a few guns before and during WWI but they were seized by the Brits most of the time

>What were Irish relations with Scotland and Wales in the 19th and early 20th century?

Thanks, that clears up a lot of things.

Is Northern Ireland the Kashmir of Ireland? In that you want it to be a part of Ireland but don't have the means to do so?

How strict are the border controls between the two territories?

Is the North Irish question considered resolved internally or the people there still want independence from UK/greater merger with UK?

How are Ulster-Irish relations currently? Are there still no go areas for the two communities?
>>
>>66508221
>Is Northern Ireland the Kashmir of Ireland? In that you want it to be a part of Ireland but don't have the means to do so?
pretty much

>How strict are the border controls between the two territories?
don't exist, you can easily go between the two and not notice a change until you reach the cities
there's controversy over it now though since Brexit, Norn Iron became the border between the UK and the EU

>Is the North Irish question considered resolved internally or the people there still want independence from UK/greater merger with UK?
big Gerry is still working towards unification, I don't think most people care as much as they did a few decades ago and would switch from Unionist to voting for Sinn Féin if they thought it would benefit them economically

>How are Ulster-Irish relations currently?
only Unionists call the 6 counties Ulster tb h, and not so bad

>Are there still no go areas for the two communities?
almost certainly but you'd have to ask a nordee for specific, and they're all probably asleep

very true, you have your anti-drug IRA who kneecap drug dealers and drug takers, your drug dealing IRA who are supposedly doing it "for the cause" and spending all the money on arms to fight the Brits, but they're just heavily armed cartel tier niggers tb h
then you have your ideological groups like INLA which is full of commies and often gets accused of dabbling in drugs also

>Just how pervasive are the ira offshoots in modern Irish society?
not very in the 26 counties though there was an incident around a year ago where the CIRA broke into a hotel with AK's and shot drug dealers/rival drug dealers dead
it's a pretty big deal in the 6 counties though
