I've been to Japan three times: once on a school trip, once on a school exchange, and once on a university exchange. It's a nice place.

I suspect the reason it gets so few visitors is that it's distant from America and Europe. It's relatively easy to reach for Australians, though, as is the rest of Asia.

I've been there as a pre-weeb, mega-weeb, and post-weeb. I thought it was fantastic the first time, too busy the second time, and boring as shit the third time.

yeah akihabara isnt really something that is funny after the first or second time.
also there are simply people who are not comfortable being away from home for some reason, and some of the more socially inept weebs coming to japan might be dissillusionised by the reality of japan. I know someone who planned to stay a year but went home after two weeks.

Yes they do. If you could read you'd understand that's not what I said. Tourist visas are very hard to get for the average chinese person. I know chinese people who've applied for visas to go to other countries and they tell me this alot. It's a constant complaint.

Hell one of my coworkers needed a visa to go to italy, and a big reason she got it was because we knew someone in the embassy.

Even still she was only allowed into the country for 4 days and had to return to china asap. After that she got the regular tourist visa.

Some countries may be a bit easier than other but overall it's a difficult process.

I don't have money.

Is it true that in Japan you're told not to wear your emotions on your sleeves? Because I kind of understand that shit, and also being shamed by your own family for not doing something. And let me tell you, it's no wonder these places have such high suicide rates.

I don't speak jap. I don't want to visit a country where I can't communicate. Japs should stay in japland and gaijins should stay away.
