That's true, there were several Poles who supported Russia, they are from some meme far-right party, it may sound strange, but Polish nationalists were always pro-Russian.

I don't really care too much what happened over there, as far as I'm concerned it's their business about borders. I don't really support either side because of the parallels that could draw to hispanics etc. doing the same as Donetsk did although not entirely the same.

That said, the Ukrainians just in general seem way less professional and organized despite being a national army. I lean towards the local side, especially seeing as how Poroshenko came to power and the people he has idealized and who is actually supporting Ukraine e.g. US

Things are pretty calm right now in Ukraine.

There are a few european (and quite a lot russian) volunteers in Azov and they mostly operate in small packs, so any kind of military experience is welcomed.

If you really want to come in contact with people serving in Azov and perhaps even some higher ups you should considering visiting Asgardrei V which is held in december by WotanJugend in Kiev. There will also be people from Western Europe so it's probably less intimidating.
