Are you excited about this coming December when the new PISA results are going to be released? Do you think your country will be performing better and better as countries like Brazil, Portugal, Macau, Korea, Tunisia, Poland, and Mexico or will it go down like Sweden, Finland, New Zealand, Uruguay and the Netherlands? New countries and sub-national entities are also going to take part in this new international assesment, including 3 new Chinese provinces (Guangdong, Jiangsu and Beijing), do you think they are going to perform as high as Shanghai? or about the same as Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan? in 2009 and 2012 the Chinese goverment run pilot PISA tests in 11 Chinese provinces and they performed a little better than the OECD average and Zhejiang actually did as great as Shanghai actually, while pilot tests in 2012 showed that Puerto Rico performed as low as Jordan and Colombia,and by the way this 2015 PISA cycle was administered in a lot of countries using computers, instead of the old paper-based assesment, and research shows that this shift to computer-based test has significant effects on the results on some countries but not in others, a striking example will be Shanghai, in which average scores fell by around 50 PISA points, meanwhile the United States the performance improved by around 17 PISA points
