I love how the media is calling trump a facist yet this is facism what we're seeing in the U.S. the facist left has taken complete control of the country.
>>
why are trumpkins so scared and angry of the world

Elections in the US have been that way for decades, you're quite late.

It sort of ebbs and flows in American politics. It was pretty corrupt in 1824 through the Jacksonian era, then sort of better up through Lincoln. After the Civil War it was a clusterfuck until WWI, afterwards it was pretty decent until LBJ/Nixon. Has been sort of shit since then (see the 2000 election), but generally okay until now. I suspect 2016-2024 will suck and then we'll reform things and be decent again for another twenty-thirty years.
>>
>>66272696
Dan Carlin was talking about this in his latest Common Sense podcast. We're overdue for a period of reform.
>>
>>66272673
I wonder if someone really believes in it. Here we think it's just funny murrican paranoia.
>>66272696
>we'll reform things
Yeah, you need some perestroika :^)
>>
>>66272642
Believe it or not there have been periods of time when we were generally free of significant corruption. It's been a total shitshow ever since Kennedy/LBJ though.
>>
>>66272809
Americans are stupid. Some of them do believe it.
>>
>>66272809

the government will use in rhetoric against russia, while most people don't care it means passive acceptance for the politicians so they can propose future actions against russia
>>
>>66272809

We have a proven history of democratic reform, which is why it works for us. Russia has had an authoritarian dictatorship/monarchy or pseudo-dictatorship for most of its history, so trying to go towards actual democracy ended in crippling failure.
>>
>>66272853
Why do they even use rhetoric against Russia if people don't care? Shouldn't they talk about more inmportant stuff for their electorate?

I mean I can understand why Russian "politicians" use anti-american rhetoric, hurr Russan strong, durr resisting the superpowah is cool. There are people who like this rhetoric, from ussr-lovers to antiglobalists.
But what's the point to use anti-Russian rhetoric in the USA? Russia is not important to ordinary Americans. Is not this rhetoric kinda annoying?

in america it doesnt matter what your policies are as long as you can buy hollywood celebrities to praise you/badmouth your opponent

america suppose to stand for something, at least from the perspective of the politicians, and so believed the citizens, so that whatever rhetoric they may use against russia it is against what america stands for, what ever that might be
it functions as a kind of being able to do foreign policy things at the slightest opportunity, with this stance the politicians can use it for every country on earth

Unfortunately we're one election away from slipping into a banana republic-tier dictatorship.

fact: economically you'll do much better with clinton in charge, the rest will be same as under obama
honestly, in my opinion america will be even stronger than it is now when clinton becomes a president and most americans understand it
>>
>Year of Our Lord, 2016
>The War on Drugs still rages on
>Marijuana the hardest drug in all the land (according to the law)
>Liberal president could have ended it by essentially snapping his fingers
>Does nothing

Obama appoints the person who runs the DEA, the person who runs the DEA makes the final decision on how drugs are scheduled and therefore which drugs are legal & how difficult they are to obtain.

And none of these fucking idiotic democrats understands that Obama could have had marijuana legalized within a year, and now they're clamoring to vote for Shillary who, quite obviously, has no interest in taking a stand on any issue whatsoever.

On the bright side, I live in one of the few third-world countries where I never have to worry about bombs falling out of the sky (knock on wood).
>>
>>66274725
That's small potatoes compared to Trump attacking the democracy every single day and saying everything's rigged against him without proof. Throwing insane, rambling conspiracy theories out, attacking the media, "the establishment", etc. Basically attacking every democratic institution. If that's not scary I don't know what is

>>66277657
You belong in prison if you are sentenced to a crime. Hillary has not, and therefore does not belong in a prison. You understand this is how the system works, right? Putting whoever you don't like in prison is something people do in third world countries.
>>
>>66278489
>You belong in prison if you are sentenced to a crime. Hillary has not, and therefore does not belong in a prison

I like how you foreign dipshits follow along enough to know that Trump said he'd put Hillary in jail, but not enough to understand he was referring to her negligence in failing to guard classified material-- which is something Trump as president could very well indict Hillary for. You'd be on firmer ground accusing the Obama administration of corruption for failing to indict someone as high-profile as Hillary.

>Putting whoever you don't like in prison is something people do in third world countries.
Can not and would not ever happen, don't act like Trump would magically become a dictator if he became president. He'd probably be shot the moment he seriously tried to do so.

>>66278032
>america will be even stronger than it is now when clinton becomes a president
Very likely, yes.
>most americans understand it
Absolutely not. Americans want Hillary because she's not-Trump and has experience. Nobody talks about what Hillary's policies will be because she's EXPERIENCED and therefore we can trust her to do the right thing.
>>
>>66273428

All of them do, every time congress shifts parties they redraw the lines to make their side more powerful than the other in voting.
>>
>>66278489
I don't give a fuck about trump spouting dumb conspiracy shit.

I care about freedom of speech. And hate speech should not be banned. It should remain protectex.

I don't want to become like Cuckweden where you can get fined or arrested for pissing on the Koran and wishing that all Muslims would die publicly.

The argument in favor of gerrymandering is that it allows politicians to group social groups together so they have an actual representative instead of being marginalized. Pic related is the same distract as above, but it has been annotated with the groups that live within the Gerrymandered area... perhaps you will notice a theme?

In reality, whether gerrymandering helps or harms democracy is arbitrary, because politicians are going to make groups in such a way that their political party wins. Pic related could probably be carved up in such a way that most of those groups are drowned out by an even larger amount of white people, which would make their votes effectively worthless. With the way it is now, all of these human scum are given their very own representative to harangue and threaten.
