Naw. I simply don't agree with that. Almost all religious conservatism in America comes from Evangelicalism today. Modern American Evangelicalism is linked to Baptist and Methodist churches primarily, not Calvinist churches. The Puritans were subsumed by the Presbyterians, and even though the First Great Awakening was largely a Presbyterian phenomenon, The American Presbyterians today are the most do-nothing, eat donuts and chill the fuck out churches of them all.
