I'd rate our flag a solid 8.5/10. I don't think we'd use another one, given that we've always had that strong symbolism of a star for every state, 13 stripes for the original colonies, and Red, White, and Blue.

I like our current flag, there's good history and meaning behind it. The harp is nice but overused, harp on green is both the flag of Leinster and our naval jack, harp on black is Guinness and harp on blue is the historical flag but now it's used as the presidential standard, plus we're more associated with green nowadays.
