Next summer I plan on going abroad to work an internship in either London or Dublin. Which one should I choose and why?
>>
>>66209598
Dublin
Slightly less shitskins
>>
wherever the internship is?

I vote for London though. Housing situation is better (lmao) than Dublin and there's far more to do. Also you might benefit from our cheaper £ if it's still depressed assuming you're burning savings cos interning
>>
to put it another way
>I'm thinking of moving to NYC or Trenton, NJ, wat do
>>
Dublin 100%

London is insanely expensive and kinda shit. Dublin isn't and isn't.
>>
>>66209598
so you want to do an internship and you don't know whether you should go to london or not
you know what I think you're best off in dublin
>>
>>66210519
confirmed for never having been
>>
>>66209598
Dublin is pretty easy to navigate via public transport, there isn't as many people.
We're probably more easy going than London folk and if general prices haven't changed in London since I was last there - Dublin is cheaper. Although there's some outrageous areas for prices in both cities.
>>
>>66210629
To Dublin?

Sadly no, but I have been to London enough to know I would hate to have to spend more than four or five days there.
>>
>>66209598
Is the internship paid, OP?

Because even if it was you'll probably spend whatever you make just living in London.
>>
>>66210769
Plus, Irish people are way nicer than Southern English people, Londoners particularly.
>>
>>66209598
Whats the internship in?
>>
OP here, let me reiterate. The internships are available to me in both locations, housing is already offered. I'm asking solely based on which location will i have a more enjoyable experience at

Finance
>>
apples and oranges question I'd say

London is far bigger and therefore comes with all the pros and cons of a very large city. Dublin is by comparison a small ~1m population city so its obviously not going to have the same to offer

while Dublin is cheaper, the prices of both are nonetheless ridiculous so its probably not something you should expect to make a difference
>>
>>66211163
Surely Dublin can't be as bad as London. I'm up in Edinburgh and yeah it's more expensive than Glasgow or Dundee but still nowhere on London's level.
>>
Dublin

Wear orange
>>
>>66211239
drinking is more expensive in dublin than london
housing is similar
>>
>>66211320
Fucking how? Drinks I can get, but housing?
>>
>>66211320
>>66211369
Actually no, I don't get how drinks can be more expensive in Dublin either.
>>
>>66211239
no, but you still shouldn't expect it to be even remotely cheap just cause its not as bad as London

its not as if, say, a pint or a bag of chips is suddenly going to cost in Dublin a fraction of the price that it would in London
>>
>>66211320
I found London to be quite reasonably priced for drinks t.bh

or mybe Mexico is too expensive for alcohol idk
>>
>>66211487
Well yeah, I can get how it'd be expensive in comparison to Cork or something.

But man I had a guy on my twitter just yesterday complaining about a £21 cooked breakfast that was one sausage, one egg, a rasher and some beans.
>>
>>66209709
*fewer shitskins
If you're going to abandon Irish, at least learn to speak proper English.
>>
>>66211614
true.
>>66211659
your man needs to leave zone 1 tourst areas 2bh
fact is I actually found London CHEAPER for cost of living (apart from housing) than where I am now, because there's so much competition.
>>
>>66209598
>>66209709
London is a shithole
