The problem with US visa is there are a lot of buthurt countries that have political bones to grind with the USA. Iran, Cuba, Russia, et cetera. The UK has the same thing but with colonialism.

That's why the best citizenships are Swiss and Canadian. Literally no one cares about our citizens exploring their countries.
