That in itself doesn't necessarily make you marketable. I don't know what the barriers to immigration are, but get some work experience and actually do something before complaining.

This, I truly don't understand. How does the US still seem so attractive, with such archaic practices, is beyond me.

Serious talk now: that is sort of a meme degree in America unless you have connections.

Go to Canada, they have a points system by which you probably already qualify for a visum. Added bonus is that Canada isn't headed down the shitter at the same speed as the US.
>>
>>66145190
>american citizenship is really not the way forward unless you're planning on living there happily ever after.
I've noticed that a lot of Americans are giving up their citizenship because of double taxation.

>>
>>66145245
I mean, I guess accounting could work, but people here major in accounting, so those people would be preferred. [Greek] Saurkraut-europe-grabber brought up a good point though: try canada.

idk maybe.
i always have had a bit of a 'thing' against canada though, which only intensified after visiting it
>>
>>66145232
yeah this only really applies to the well off that aren't living there any more though. i believe they have an allowance of something like $70k/pa tax free when they are working abroad, but no matter where they are working, even if there's a double-taxation treaty in place and they've paid their share, they still need to file tax returns every single year. there's no PAYE, it's literally the equivalent of being self-employed or your own company in terms of reporting.

they also still use cheques. lmao.

i love america btw, and i can totally understand wanting to move there (i used to think like that) but being british isn't so bad.

Agreed. I also think every single non-STEM degree should be illegalized and every student of these courses should be shot.

STEM majors should get special privileges in regards to voting (like having a special voting system), because they're the only human beings that are able to think rationally. Wolfs in a world of sheep.

I also geniuenly believe that high positions of political power should go ONLY to STEM majors, since they are the smartest people, and, as said before, the only ones capable of critikal and rational thinking.

Literally JUST : the degree.

My dad did it and could get to one of the top 3 best STEM schools (your equivalent of ivy league except they only do stem degrees there and it's free).

Yeah, I think that's the point. We're not so fond of extended-stay tourists. Those who want to become Americans, however, are seen as future family. We take citizenship here seriously, and we require a certain degree of dedication. There's nothing wrong with that.

The maths involved in Econ is pretty advanced tbqh, especially if you're focusing on econometrics and financial economics. A lot more difficult to wrap your head around than a STEM degree like chemistry/biology.

That's true for poorfags. Otherwise, it's pretty comfy here.
Let's face it, if you're going to be eligible to immigrate here from the UK, the lifestyle you can buy here is pretty nice. It's such a big and diverse country, you really can pick your life. Personally speaking, I've lived in 3 regions with distinctly different climates and topography.
It's not for everyone, but I wouldn't rather be born anywhere else.
