The language is not the problem. There are plenty of Dutchmen who speak French already. Governing all of Belgium might be a problem. That's why should use a system like the old Dutch republic, in which each province has it's oen language and sovereignity.

No it didn't, you double nigger. It was never a Dutch capital. It was a Dutch speaking city once but the population VOLUNTARILY switched to Dutch. As Baudelaire said, the people of Brussels preferred speaking shoddy French over good Flemish.

Don't be an autist and whine about "hurr durr we'll MAKE them speak our language" because history shows the French tend to win that particular pissing contest (case in point: French "Flanders").

If we really want to split Belgium, giving away Brussels as well as the majority-Francophone corridor is the most realistic way to go. We get Antwerp, that's more valuable to the trade oriented Dutch model anyway.
