I live in the trap capital of the world (not Bangkok, the other kind of trap). It's alright but sometimes gives me a headache. Pain in the ass to hear it on public transportation though.

Massive grime renaissance in London (ignore flag I'm British), but the best UK hip-hop is the trip hop influenced stuff in Scotland and the South West. Generally it's pretty popular with young folks, older generation can't wrap their head around it, same as most anywhere. Mostly, shamefully, I just listen to yank shit since there's so much of it.

90's hip hop, stuff like Tupac and Biggie, is very popular among Ireland's underclass and in more crime heavy areas. Tupac is almost like a religious figure for a lot of people here. Outside of that I don't think it's especially popular. Middle class are more a fan of awful, milquetoast indie bands.
