A life sentence allows the crook to rot though. Death is too kind.

It's not a coincidence that most high-crime rates are in countries with no death penalty.

>rot
Yeah but definitely not in our first world prisons. It's more like a 4 star hotel you're not allowed to leave.
what is that crap ? we don't have a death penalty

>A life sentence allows the crook to rot
At an enormous taxpayer expense, hence the convenience of capital punishment in 3rd-world countries
Anyone who killed someone should die.
obvious

The problem is that this meme still gets thrown about in first world countries like the US and Japan. I dunno how it works in Japan, but a person on death row has access to numerous appeals and a long wait-time before they're actually killed, so they cost a lot anyway.
I think it's better to just take the high road and be humane about it. Killing someone isn't going to undo all the fucked up shit they did and letting the person stew for the rest of their lives in a high-security prison is fine by me. Plus, if they're alive, they can be put to work and help pay for their own upkeep.

So obvious that most of the world doesn't practice it. It's called 'mercy', Japan, but I guess a country full of heathens wouldn't know anything about that :^)

yes, in Islamic mind.

Death penalty in our country is very rare, not more than 5 per year are punished with death.
>>65868241
How come USA has death penalty then?
>>65864645
Death penalty is inhuman.
>>65868241
Death penalty isn't a deterrent at all. Most of the time a criminal doesn't care about what happens next.

Anyone who thinks this has no clue what they are talking about.
We honestly need to bring back public executions.
