What is middle eastern culture? North Africa, Egypt, Iran and Turkey (or even more distant places like Afghanistan) are not really middle eastern. In places that can actually be counted as middle eastern, the local culture (and sometimes the people as well) was overwritten by arabs. Arab 'culture' was so bare that most of it was borrowed from the conquered iranians.
