I take it that's up north or far west in Quebec, because of the English sign. How cold does it get?

Take a queue from Berlin and paint all the commieblocks in ridiculous colors. It's the gay thing to do, but it's the right thing to do. Grey concrete is always depressing as fuck, no matter where it is.

commie blocks/10
Seems like a very nice place to take a walk in though. I'm sure the weather is perfect

You're right. It's a community on the coast of James Bay which, to compliment your point, was hardly colonized by the French but was rather a HBC post. Any blood aside from cree here is generally Scottish as evidenced by certain surnames common to the area (Spencer, Louttit, Wadden, etc)

I didn't even answer your question.
Usually in the winter time (from november to early may) it hovers around -25c, but during the night it can get as low as -40 and early mornings can often be -50. It's the kind of cold that bites your face and cuts through most jackets, but luckily it's dry here and not humid
and your picture is typically European: quaint, prim, clean and stylish

There are about 1000 people living in that town, so not much but it's on a strip of coastline that is rather densily populated (along the Mediterranean) so it's not really the countryside, larger towns are available within short drives (45mn away from a 250 000 people city and lots smaller ones around). However the back of the area is mountainous and empty so there are also nice /out/ opportunities. The mountains aren't very high (around 1000-1200m high) but very rocky and with a lot of river canyons so lots of good spots.
There's not much to do in the village itself, there are enough shops to not be forced to drive everytime you need something but that's about it, the rest is only houses and most people work elsewhere in the larger towns or in the fields/vineyards around.
Since I prefer being outside rather than big cities I'm fine with it.

Because of Communism. Thanks to brainless leaders such as Khrushchev who implemented Le Corbusier architectural and city planning ideas and butchered them to the point of that concrete hell.
