Did you know that Mannerheim, who was voted the greatest Finn who ever lived, was not actually Finnish, but Swedish? His full name is Carl Gustaf Emil Mannerheim. Doesn't sound very Finnish does it?
But wait there's more! He didn't even speak Finnish! He spoke Swedish natively and German and Russian fluently, but he didn't speak a lick of Finnish. Strange for someone considered the greatest """"""Finn"""""".
No one in his entire family was Finnish. The Mannerheim family moved from Germany to Sweden in the 1600s and lived there as nobility. The only reason he was commanding the Finnish military was because there were no Finns capable of directing an armed forces.

Finland really is the most pathetic country in Europe. We have no heroes of our own so we have to borrow them from Sweden.
