I think it is overdiagnosed, my dad died and the doctor immediately diagnosed my sisters and mother with depression and they are still taking the medication for it 4 or 5 years after the fact, also my girlfriend has been diagnosed and her sister
now that I think about it I can't think of any female in my life that has not been diagnosed with it
