>Obligatory English:

"I ain't saying it's right. But you're saying a foot massage don't mean nothing, and I'm saying it does. Now look, I've given a million ladies a million foot massages, and they all meant something. We act like they don't, but they do, and that's what's so fucking cool about them. There's a sensuous thing going on where you don't talk about it, but you know it, she knows it, fucking Marsellus knew it, and Antwone should have fucking better known better. I mean, that's his fucking wife, man. He can't be expected to have a sense of humor about that shit. You know what I'm saying?"

Tried with both American accent:

And Russian one:

Don't know which one sounds better, but given I've got some weird accent when trying to make any other accent besides Russian, I guess the Russian one is better.

>American accent

I like it. Reminds me of Rocky Balboa. :DD

You almost had sensuous, it's just you needed to add a "chu" or "shu" sound in the middle. You said "senshus," but you just needed to add a third syllable for "sen-shu-us."
>>
>>55110005
Now that I re-listen to my """"American"""" version I actually feel a bit cringy. It does sound as if I tried too much.

Probably my shitty memory, but I don't remember posting many recordings with a relaxed voice. Might be that I just mostly remember only the most emotional recordings of mine.

There's a strong accent but it was completely understandable.
You need to work on a few things:
>Sensuous: (I wouldn't expect you to know this)
Is pronounced: senSHo͞oəs, Sen as in pen, shoo as in shoe and us as in the us in lust.
>Plurals
You were dropping the "s" as many of the final letters but other than that it was great.
Watch English tv to improve your cadence and rhythm and intonation.

Always remember to choose correct format for your images.

Using PNG (Portable Network Graphic) for large, non-vectorized, rich in colors and elements is a huge waste.

Not to mention your picture already contains large amounts of compression artifacts.

For your picture using JPEG compression algorithm with large compression rate and color reduction is a much better choice.

Your picture still conveys the same information but does it with only the 6% of original filesize.

I took liberty to compress your picture properly and upload it for future use

No problem, I must have forgotten about the accent difference.
If you want to have an English accent watch BBC shows and stick to them but if you want an American one watch American shows.
My recommendation is that you do not mix because the two have different cadences, accents, rhythms and innovation.

Want to try some Brazilian? It's latin, so it should be familiar.

"Bolsonaro tornou-se conhecido nacionalmente por suas posições nacionalistas e conservadoras, por suas críticas ao comunismo e à esquerda[8] e por declarações controversas. >chad

"A member of the male gender, a Chad is a person, typically named Chad, who goes to bars to pick up chicks. He usually accomplishes this by cockblocking other guys. A Chad can be identified by his appearance which usually consists of the following: mesh trucker hat, frosted hair, greasy spiked hair, polo shirt with the collar turned up, fake tan, ringer t-shirt two sizes too small, pants two sizes too small, wifebeater in public, and a light colored button-up shirt. Chad's also have spent time in a fraternity, will dance by themselves to attract attention, and typically drink light beer."

Ripped straight from the CollegeBoard practice ACCUPLACER reading skills test.

Samuel Morse, best known today as the inventor of
Morse Code and one of the inventors of the telegraph,
was originally a prominent painter. While he was always
interested in technology and studied electrical engineering
in college, Morse went to Paris to learn from famous artists
of his day and later painted many pictures that now hang
in museums, including a portrait of former President John
Adams. In 1825, Morse was in Washington, D.C., painting
a portrait of the Marquis de Lafayette when a messenger
arrived on horseback to tell him that his wife was gravely
ill back at his home in Connecticut. The message had taken
several days to reach him because of the distance. Morse
rushed to his home as fast as he could, but his wife had
already passed away by the time he arrived. Grief-stricken,
he gave up painting and devoted the rest of his life to finding
ways to transmit messages over long distances faster.

Do you know if there is any specific rule for the words with double ll, or you have to learn each one?
Sometimes they sound like a single l (like in ville) and sometimes they have a "y" like sound (rejaillit), if it wasn't for your vocaroo I would have mispronounced it.

it's possible if you're motivated enough
>>
To dream the impossible dream
To fight the unbeatable foe
To bear with unbearable sorrow
To run where the brave dare not go
To right the unrightable wrong
To love pure and chaste from afar
To try when your arms are too weary
To reach the unreachable star

This is my quest
To follow that star
No matter how hopeless
No matter how far

To fight for the right
Without question or pause
To be willing to march into Hell
For a heavenly cause

And I know if I'll only be true
To this glorious quest
That my heart will lie peaceful and calm
When I'm laid to my rest

And the world will be better for this
That one man, scorned and covered with scars
Still strove with his last ounce of courage
To reach the unreachable star

I try to pronounce those sounds like the portuguese "u", did i make it sound too much like the "u" in "nus" and "plus" or what?

I tried to put a lot of emphasis on double vowels and consonats because finnish posters always point out to me that i don't pronounce them correctly, but i think i ended up sounding kinda weird. Meh.

Don't beat yourself, there are some things so naturally ingrained for native speakers that they don't even realise (also apparently I asked a tricky one). Same thing happened when an American asked something similar to me.

Not the same anon, but I notice the way Aussies pronounce the R is much different than how Brits do.

An example: if one was to say "no," with an Australian accent, it comes out sounding like, "no-r." The British don't do that.

The Industrial Revolution and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race. They have greatly increased the life-expectancy of those of us who live in “advanced” countries, but they have destabilized society, have made life unfulfilling, have subjected human beings to indignities, have led to widespread psychological suffering (in the Third World to physical suffering as well) and have inflicted severe damage on the natural world. The continued development of technology will worsen the situation. It will certainly subject human beings to greater indignities and inflict greater damage on the natural world, it will probably lead to greater social disruption and psychological suffering, and it may lead to increased physical suffering even in “advanced” countries.

Try doing a midwest/wisconsin/candian accent on this:
So me 'n bill went over to Culver's yesterday, and they were out of cheese curds! What on earth? Can you believe it Janet? Culvers, out of cheese curds? And now, the Packers are losing to the bears? What a crazy world we do live in, Jan, I tell ya what.

I think I sound a bit different when I read speeches from Napoléon to be honest. I dated a parisian girl for a white and she never thought I sounded any different. Where are you from ?

Hmm I've been too frequently displaced to actually mould myself some true accent (Australia, Neuilly, Provence, NY, Toulouse, Geneve, and now Paris) but I think from mostly conversing in french through my parents, its mostly been a Parisian accent that I bestowed. Not the flashiest, but oh well, I'll do with it. Foreigners can't really discern a Parisian one from a Nantais one anyways.

And awesome. So my ancestor was Adolphe Dubigeon, though my side of the family buggered off from disagreeing with the decision of selling off the chantiers. But we've had to recontact them to discuss the erm burial plans for my great-grandmother in the Dubigeon great crypt or something (she's not deceased yet so this is extremely cynical .-.). Anyways, good to know from you what sort of accent I should expect.
