Top kek m8. Undercover cars are easy as hell for any driver with half a brain to spot. Here they almost always will drive around in a heavily (almost 0%) tinted car on steelies. What gives them away are the rear lights which are RIGHT up against rear windshield, so if you see a dark tinted domestic car with a gray bulb on both sides of the rear mirror, you can almost be assured it's an undercover.

The most convincing UCs I've ever seen are the ones that ride around in those newer Ford SUVs. Crown Vics and Impalas are just obvious.

Do the cops over there make good use of Holden cars?

They're slowly making a comeback - mainly for highway patrol.

Now that the Chargers are beginning to age, like all modern Dodge vehicles they're pretty much falling apart left and right. A lot of Crown Vics are left over and can be bought for dirt cheap as opposed to wasting time and money fixing the Chargers.

The Crown Vics are definitely on the slow and bulky side, but their insane durability and cheap cost of repairs make them something to always expect.

In Australia, or SA at least, and undercover car is just a cop car without the decals. I shit you not it would look exactly like the OP pic if the car was just white, antennae and all.

Although a few friends of mine got busted smoking weed in their car by an undercover Holden Commodore station wagon that had a ladder on the roof to look like a tradie. Apparently every now and then they get a stroke of genius.

They see some use. Funnily enough most of the people being pulled over on the freeway are people in HSVs

Yeah but tourists get lost in the mountains, body recovery is some mentally scarring stuff. Pretty much if you want them dead, which technically 'isn't' what the police are supposed to do.
You'll get a multipoint breach, anyone running around with a gun gets dead, anyone standing longer than 2 fucking seconds after you tell them to get down, is also dead. Then everyone in there gets a right kicking while someone stands on their throat so they don't make problems.
We sort of do things a bit differently in the military :)

Lived in Germany for a year, and talked with people that thought they had "lush forests" and could not imagine anything big enough to get truly lost in. No disrespect to them, but it made me understand how easily this shit happens with tourists. Not you Aussies, you know your shit, but the rest of them.

Kind of like how most locals in remote places stay put... because its fucking terrible out there!

I blame numbnuts like Bear Grylls who does all this running around jumping out of trees, climbing waterfalls and swimming across stupid-fast running rivers. People don't realise that if they fuck up (and they probably WILL fuck it up), then they're going to stay there until they die because they broke a leg, drown, have some horrible diarrhoea or landed on their head and are now in the shit.
