Depends on what you're looking for.
>>

Probably Minnesota. I come from Chicago, but I wouldn't recommend it for you. Take my advice and just go to a SLIGHTLY liberal state. Closer to the center. No Texas. No Oklahoma or Kansas. No Mississippi or Alabama. They're a bunch of closed minded prices. You'll find them in this thread very very soon. Believe me. The butthurt is strong in them.

>Not cuckolded

You're using the work incorrectly. A cuckold is a man who has been cheated on by his wife.

In the manner that YOU are using it your probably want to be careful how you use it. You're one of the blackest States of the Union.
>>
>>53311151
Utah.
>>
>>53311196
The issue isn't as black and white as you make it out to be, it's far more complex than that.

If I weren't mistaken, your tone sets the stage as *you* being the close minded one.

Get over yourself man.
>>
>>53311151
California by far. Cozy up in the mountains and valleys, excitement in the cities. Most other states are flyover shit holes are general rat infested shitholes like the east coast. Only other good states are the ones who share the mighty Pacific with us.
>>
isnt Texas the most famous and comfy state? as I heard in Texas lives really true americans
>>
>>53311281
Maybe you're right. I won't be that guy who calls my opinion fact. I will say that if I were to live in another country I'd probably ask which region is more accepting of foreigners. The voting demographics in the southern states and the people who represent them seem to be less so. I'm not speaking on the general public in those areas. I agree that it isn't black and white.
>>
>>53311295
Texas can compete against California
>>
>>53311311
Yes it is; I also heard they have a great need for your potassium so you can make an easy living.
>>
Maine, I think, but I'm talking out of my ass.
>>
>>53311311
We're all Americans here. If you came to any place here and tried to do it legally and speak the language you're just as "American" as anyone else.

Look up what it says on the statue of liberty. That used to be an American ideal. Sadly it isn't anymore.

Kinda wonder if those even exist anymore.

It's best to move to a city in the south. Like Nashville or Charlotte

Vacation =/= living. Hawaiian residents outside of the tourism sector are towards the bottom of wealth in the US, as such the same goes for the tax household, and most products have to be imported at higher cost. Can confirm
The northeast isn't perfect. However NY/NJ is awesome for anyone looking for shit to do, and most people from that area are Bros as long as you're not a dick. Plus the added bonus of noticeably less morbidly obese people than the center of the country. I'd for sure prefer to not have to see them day to do.

Pussies from the south will start crying if the greeter at Walmart doesn't say good morning sir, how your day be, praise Jesus. All while getting your scooter

Texas just seems like nonstop suburban hell the one time I was there. Not sure why your traffic engineers force you to go on a service road to use an exit to connect to another interstate, instead of just having a normal exit like 90% of the country. But i give you guys props for not having completely shit drivers like the rest of the south

The best state is extremely subjective that are always subject to intense regional rivalries, ex. Michigan and Ohio, North v. South, NYC v. Boston, California v. Water, so you will never get a definite answer because its all dependant on personal prefrence. Personally I like the Northeast and Northwest the best in every way except politcally because I'm conservative and these places are very Democrat.

It doesn't matter, I'm aware that the Northeast except for Maryland, Boston, and the minorities in NYC are all more libretarian than Democrat but the dumbfucks buy into the Democrats being libretarian every election. Its similar in the Northwest except the major cities (Portland, Seattle) have a large population of actual libtards.

Just live here for cheap living and decent jobs and visit other states on vacation. Texas is centralized so it makes traveling a little less time consuming.

Just don't live in Portland.
It's fine to visit for a couple days if you stay in the downtown area where the shops and food places are, but I've lived here for 4 years now and I can't wait to move. Fucking homeless everywhere, smokers everywhere, beggars on every major street corner, unfinished construction everywhere. It's a shithole once you go east of the river.

Can you stop spouting your horseshit, I'd rather live in New Hampshire and get argueably the same quality of living as a place with high cost of living with for a lower cost of living. Also what you said in >>53329457
isn't a competition thing, its a supply v demand thing. A competition thing would be two real estate companies who both own many properties in a high-demand area trying to give a better deal to the customers in order to get the demand to buy from them.

>Can you stop spouting your horseshit

M8, you're supporting a candidate who strongly holds beliefs contrary to your own. By /pol/'s definition, you're being cucked.

>isn't a competition thing, its a supply v demand thing

Economics is a two way street, my man. The consumer is forced to compete in situations of high demand/low supply, whereas the vendors must compete in situations of high demand/high supply. To write off high real estate costs as a result of competing consumers as "[not] a competition thing" is just wrong.

I think that was Nevada, but it could be Utah too. Everyone tries hard to get rid of homeless, even if that means making them someone elses problem.

Homelessness in Portland, Seattle and San Fransisco is visibly worse. I don't know the actual numbers for this, but having been to these places, as well as other cities, it seems very bad.

>Conservative Utah found that the most fiscally efficient way to solve the chronic homeless problem is to provide permanent housing, and then connect the person with a social worker. It's called Housing First. The cost of this program is about $8000 per person, per year, and it reduces the person's need for emergency medical services, and reduces the chance they'll be jailed. They're not expected clean up their act before being provided with housing, or even as a condition of keeping this housing; rather the theory is that having the stability of safe, private housing is a better starting point for being able to clean up your act than living on the street or in a shelter is.

competition between buyers doesn't drive prices up unless its a bidding war or something similar.

they must compete in every situation unless they have a virtual monoploy on a product.

also where does it say that Cruz thinks that its better to find the place where it costs the most to live because it gives the best quality. Its basic common fucking sense that you want the best price for the best quality.

States in New England are pretty much the undisputed champions of high standard of living and just general livability. NoVA is catching up and there a few states in the Midwest that might fit this like Colorado and Utah.

If Cruz had his way we'd be living in a free market utopia, in which, by definition the most expensive things/places are the best.

This is true

It is so miserable and depressing driving through the rural south. I remember stopping at a mcdonalds that was the absolute low point. All 3 families dining were entirely obese. The whole staff were fat blacks speaking in incomprehensible ebonics. It was like 40c outsiide and inside and there were flies everywhere including on the fat mcdonalds cashiers. They took forever to finish my order.

People waddled around dazed and obese like they had brain damage or were sleepwalking

It's so surreal, like a Lynch film

If you think it's going to be fun going on a safari to watch Ameriblubbers in scooters, it's not, it's more depressing and uncomfortable than funny
>>
>>53311151
Hard to say. Weed is legal in Colorado and California, but they're also both very expensive to live in. Plus, as someone who used to live in Colorado (in Denver, in Aurora, and in this really little town called Julesberg), I can tell you firsthand that almost everyone in Colorado is an asshole.

Minnesota's nice, and close to Canada which is always a plus, but it's also cold as shit.

Louisiana has a lot of history and a unique culture, and New Orleans is fun as shit on, but it's also a pretty poor state. The French Quarter of New Orleans is great, but the city as a whole is filled with crime and poverty, and basically everything outside of the French Quarter is sprawling ghettos.

I've been living in Mobile, Alabama for a while and, while Alabamans are polite and (despite the stereotypes) there aren't really any big race problems, they're also lazy, generally very religious and conservative-leaning, there are no federal minimum wage laws, and it's boring.

I'd say Maine, probably. Or Tennessee (though only the big cities; Nashville's fun and not boring), as it's close enough to Louisiana that you can drive to New Orleans for Mardi Gras, without having to actually live in New Orleans (which as mentioned is mostly a shithole outside of the French Quarter, which is basically the tourist area).

Now, granted, Mobile also has a Mardi Gras, but Mobile's is a more sanitized, family-friendly Christian one, which just defeats the entire purpose. Seriously, go to the New Orleans one; it's a waste of time to go to a Mardi Gras anywhere outside of New Orleans.

I came from Minnesota, and Louisville is not as nice as rural Minnesota, nicer than Saint Paul, about the same as the good parts of Minneapolis. If you don't count west Louisville. West Louisville is like the North Minneapolis of Minnesota. Edina is kind of like Minnesota's Lexington. Driving on the median is fucking weird too. I don't know if they do that many other places, but don't do that in Minnesota.
>>

Iowa, Minnisota, Wisconson. They have a high average IQ. Aren't extremely polarized one way or the other politically, and if you live in a college town you are practically immune to recessions while still having plenty of job opportunities.

That being said. If you can't handle Moscow level weather then stay away.

That raised thing in the middle of the road. Where I am in Louisville driving on top of that is common practice. I've been all over the country and this is the only place I've seen it done. Living costs are high in cali because there is a very high demand to live there, as its the only place in developed North America with a mediterranean climate. If something has high enough demand, stupid shit will happen like prices going up high and people building extremely large suburbs into deserts, which is why there is also water problems because cali is also farms a shitton of stuff like almonds which require absurd amounts of water, and there isn't enough water to go around to the people who literally live in a desert.
