The T95 was supposed to be the successor to the M48.

Like the MBT-70 project, the T95 was innovative, supposed to be the tank of the future. A very advanced electronic FCS, composite armor, smoothbore gun, and other whistles besides.

Unfortunately, it utterly failed. Some lessons were incorporated into later projects, leading to the incrementally better M60.
