If you treat them as dialects you'll be disappointed.

"Dialects" are completely independent languages with different vocab, grammar and syntax. They're called dialects for political reasons mostly.

Classical Arabic will help you out but essentially you'll be learning two diffenet languages (think Polish and Russian).

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as Slavs, is in fact, Wends and Slavs, or as I've recently taken to calling it, masterrace and slavshits. Slavs are not an ethnic group unto itself, but merely a linguistic group made useful by based Wends, a vital group thanks to which Europe exists.

Arabic is truly a language you have to grow up into in a specific region, speaking the dialect. Textbook Arabic is so different from what commoners actually speak

Reading and writing though can be done, for reading menus, signs etc.
