Isn't Modi a conservative hard-ass? He's like really focused on rebuilding and modernizing India, I believe. He's begun rapid modernization in the country. I'm not really sure, but that's what I heard at least.

You are right however we have a 2 house parliamentary system and his government only has a majority in the lower house so all he has done is very little because that restraint only lets him sign executive orders most notably he recently liberalised foreign direct investment further than any past administration dared in this socialist shithole.

He is on a binge of foreign tours/diplomatic visits to secure said investment too most recent was UK london where he signed deals with Cameron and ate lunch with Liz.

Reduction of poverty, increase in sanitation, increase in defence indigenization, increase in infrastructure+modernization, and a manufacturing and power boom. GDP will probably rise to top 5 nominal sometime in a few years. Probably top 3 nominal before 2025 if all goes according to plan.
