This is part of the Australian War Memorial in Canberra. On the walls surrounding this courtyard are the names of all soldiers who have fallen in service (all wars/conflicts). Behind is the tomb of the unknown soldier (fell in France, WW1), and from the picture you can see parliament house (there is a road leading out from the memorial it leading towards it).

The war memorial also had a really good museum attached. It's definitely worth seeing if you ever go to Canberra (and imo, about the only thing that could make you want to go to that boring city).

I don't think we have a single big one.

All Finnish war dead were in the cemeteries of their home towns if at all possible.

Those who could not be recovered from enemy territory were usually buried after the war in collective graves in Russia. There are memorials dedicated to them there.

Also a lot of churches were the war dead are buried have a small memorial for the unknown soldiers.

Here's the "Hero Cross" located in the "heroes graveyard" section of Hietaniemi cemetary.

It isn't very "heroic" or elaborate but I think that it is fitting for our protestant heritage and the war it commemorates
