The stereotypical image of the US and Canada is large cities with tall skylines. But most American/Canadian cities have a dense urban core (for corporations and residential structures) with most people living on the outskirts in low to medium density neighbourhoods. Europe, I would argue, has more "proper cities" in which nearly the entire city is considered high density. So shouldn't Europe get that stereotype instead (besides the skyscrapers)?

Only 3 American cities make the list, and no Canadian cities. Yet the stereotypical American lives in this "concrete jungle" or tall skyscrapers and apartment blocks. Not even close to reality.

Please help me. My parents are forcing me to join the korean military. Im a canadian citizen and have literally ZERO interest in fighting for country ive never grew up in. I see these a lot in Mexico. They're built with concrete blocks which are then covered with a layer of concrete and painted. Some are two storeys high. My question is, how do they build the second floor? Is their a wooden floor and is it really that strong to hold up a concrete floor? Or do they use large slabs of concrete laid across the top?

I live in a wooden house, 3 floors (one underground for cars) in a rural area (10 minute drive to town). Never seen these kinds of homes in my area.
