Performance Art

I think especially the kind of performances Marina Abramovic does are really interesting. I love how she puts her whole body and sould into it and is actively looking for how long she can do it and how far she can push her limits.
I think it also shows how we draw borders between types of arts and how to rethink them.

My personal favorite kind of performance art is video performance. It destroys pre-existing ideas of art and also how we archive and curate and talk about art.

2 types of performance artises:

1: a bunch of attention whores that also want to express themselves. I say if they don't want to make money, that's up to them. Plenty of ways to express yourself without looking like a dumb ass.

2: some people trying to gain a better understanding of human nature and behavior and how that applies to our lives.
