I keep seeing people say
>Do Grind Loomis
>breh grind loomis
>NEEDS LOOMIS".
So I have the book now.
But like how am I supposed to "do" the book? There are pages of diagrams and Loomis doesn't say if your supposed to copy them or not and stuff. Its more like a series of diagrams than instructions.
Pic related, doesn't tell you to copy the diagram or not or how many times you should.
Loomis tells you to copy everything in the beginning of the book.
do we seriously have to explain studying to you?
do you think loomis is gonna jump out of the book and stab you if you dont exactly do as he tells you to? do you know how to act like an independent adult human being? look at the drawings. try to take them apart. try to understand how loomis got to his finished drawing. christ man its not hard. just use your god damn eyes and brain for once. are you gonna ask the autists on this board how to wipe your ass next?
The way to do Loomis, Hampton, and Bridgman is to draw copies of all their diagrams. Seriously all of them. Then do a bunch of studies from photo and live models. Do some figures from imagination. Then repeat.
The books give you a stronger grasp of what you're seeing in the form itself. Your practice your functional knowledge gained, then you go back for more from the top.
Skipping any step in this will result in knowledge you don't even realize you're missing. Do it right and you'll feel things click.
