No and yes.
Everything that builds a visual library - so not drawing per se.
Looking at pictures, learning about history, museums, tools, watching movies, ...
For example, by seeing a trebuchet meme you will be better able to envision a scene in a book that mentions a trebuchet.
For example2, this caterpillar gives you visual library elements next time a monster is described in a book.
The point is to be exposed to as much as possible in the world. If you only draw hands for a year, your visual library is going to be WORSE, not better.

Not necessarily learning to draw, but exposure to visual images and experiences will be the reference that you use in order to grasp ideas better. This anon >>3124343 is right.
