Are they really as good as people say or just meme pencils?

I have something similar to this and I love it for a few reasons
-sturdy
-reliable
-clean
-precise
-good visibility
-good ergonomics
I bought 2 like 4 years ago for 20 bucks each and still don't regret it.

The best mechanical pencil is the one that's the most comfortable for you. I've accumulated dozens of expensive drafting pencils over the years, and the pencils I use the most are Pentel P205s because they're lightweight and easy to shift around in my hand. I'd say what's more important than one good pencil is having several on hand with different grades of lead.

I searched for a good mecha pen for .3 mines and found what i needed at pentel too. it transports the mine precisely. really, really like it. could be just a bit lighter though.
