Why would they need to study perspective for this, isn't this "zero perspective" as there is no visible geometric structure? Or did you meant atmospheric perspective? Though if he wanted to add structures they're a blurry mess anyway.

OP needs to know more about rendering his clouds and etc. Also needs better edge control.

looks not bad (given you're still getting into it), but lacks something interesting happening / a focal point. How about a giant creature standing in the water, or a damaged spaceship crash landing?

perspective is only made apparent when parallel lines exist. zero point perspective is a real concept, look it up.
