Look senpai. It's about learning how to implement creative liberties into your study and current knowledge of real life structures.
For a basic understanding anime and manga is just technical drawing techniques used for the creation of cartoons.
Like what a lot of other people have probably said before: learn how to draw anatomy and place your creative outputs into these structures. I mean I don't think it could even be more obvious of an answer desu.
