I've got at least one IRL friend who does art, so that's nice. I just joined some Discord server but its pretty lame. Socializing on Twitter in such is hard as I can never bring myself to say anything other than formalities and generic compliments to other artists.

Unlike the usual asocial 4chan lurker, I got tons of friends & went to a party wednesday!

No wonder you guys make desperate threads all the time about not making it, not knowing how to market yourself and feeling like a waste that loves living a NEET life!

Go outside, draw what you love : you'll improve faster if you don't see your path as a torture session...

I have a studio at what's basically a giant co-op so dozens of artist friends just down the hall, local connections through the arts council and public art I've made, starting to make some regional connections through exhibiting. I could be friends with a lot of the artists I went to school with, but many of them live in a different city and I don't really see a ton of benefit from doing so.
